“তেরি খাতির ম্যায় দুনিয়ামে বদনাম হুঁ ফির ভি তু ভুল জায়ে তো ম্যা ক্যা করুঁ...” গানটা গুনগুন করতে করতেই ছেলেদের খাতাপত্র দেখছিলাম। হ্যাঁ, তেমন গুরুত্বপূর্ণ না। ক্লাসের সারপ্রাইজ টেস্ট জাস্ট। বিষয়টা অঙ্ক। তাই খাতা দেখার জন্য তেমন মনোযোগ দেওয়ার দরকারই পড়ে না। গানটা বেশ লাগে। আমি বাড়ি থেকে দূরে থাকি। সদ্যই অনেকটা দূরের একটা জায়গা থেকে নতুন একটা জায়গায় ট্রান্সফার হয়েছে। নতুন জায়গাটা তেমন একটা ভালো লাগে নি এখনো। জঙ্গলমহল। তবে এখানকার রাতগুলো ভালো। ঝিঁঝিঁর আওয়াজ, ভাড়াবাড়ির টিনের ছাদের ওপর হাল্কা বৃষ্টির শব্দ...আহা। আর কয়েকটা খাতা বাকি। পরে দেখবো। বৃষ্টিটা বেশ জোরে এসেছে। লোডশেডিংও হয়ে গেল। মোম জ্বালাবো না। চোখদুটোকে একটু বিশ্রাম দেওয়া দরকার... গান শুনছিলাম। ওই গানটাই রিপিট মোডে চালিয়ে দিলাম। হঠাৎ ফোনটা এলো। ধ্যূস। এত রাতে কে আবার ফোন করে! বিরক্তিকর। ফোনটা তুলে নাম্বারটা দেখতেই একটু হৃৎস্পন্দন বাড়লো কি আমার? এতদিন পরে... ফোনটা রিসিভ করলাম। খুবই পরিচিত গলায়, ‘স্যার, আমি শ্রীতমা...’ **** কম করেও আমার শিক্ষকতার জীবন হলো প্রায় ১০ বছর। ইলেভেনে পড়ার সময় থেকে সেই যে পড়ানোর...
